Energy Sod Peat

Energy sod peat is produced by lifting up 30-60 cm of the upper layer of the peatbog and forming round bands by special machinery, which are laid on the surface of the peatbog to dry.

The quality of energy sod peat is constant:

• Diameter of lumps: 40-70 mm, length: – 50-200 mm;
• Moisture of lump peat: 33-39%;
• Average energy output: 3.4 MWh/t, i. e., 12.2 MJ/kg.

Energy sod peat is suitable for combusting in electrical power plants, boiler houses and for heating separate buildings. Furthermore, it may be used in households, greenhouses and private homes.
