Wood Chips and Energy Peat Mixtures

It is possible to supply a mixture in accordance with the ratio ordered by the client. The energy value of wood and peat is similar (see the comparison table), but combustion properties differ to some extent. Energy peat is characterised by longer smouldering than wood, therefore the process of combustion acquires a new, better quality when a mixture of wood and fuel peat is supplied to the boiler. Furthermore, as shown by long-standing experience of Swedish and Finnish energy producers, mixing wood with peat extends the working life of the boiler – this reason alone warrants the use of wood chips, mixed with fuel peat, in biofuel-powered boilers.
